Goals of Dynamic Standing
Improving the strength of the tonic ‘anti-gravity muscles’ with strengthening of head, trunk and posture control and easier activation of the upper extremities
Improving sensory function and perception with influence on muscle tone and reducing compensatory or spastic muscle overactivity
Increasing the range of movement of muscles and joints with prevention of secondary damage by maintaining the muscle's ability to stretch and thus avoiding contractures and consecutive bony deformities as well as avoiding frequently underestimated musculoskeletal pain.
