The Spex Adapta3 Back Support is an adjustable wheelchair back support designed for users with complex postural needs. It is suited to users who require customised support for spinal and pelvic presentations such as kyphosis, lordosis, anterior pelvic tilt or posterior pelvic tilt.
The Adapta3 uses an adaptive Profile Curvature System, with the rigid aluminium shell divided into three adjustable sections. This allows the back support to be shaped to the user’s pelvis, lumbar spine and thoracic spine, providing contouring through the shell rather than relying on excessive foam padding.
Designed for comfort and clinical flexibility, the contoured surface remains supportive when the seating system is tilted or adjusted. The height-adjustable top section helps match the back support curves to the user’s trunk shape, while thin-line foam, breathable upholstery and additional positioning options support everyday comfort and ongoing adjustment.
