Spex Extended Lateral Head Support

The Spex Extended Lateral Head Support is a one-piece wheelchair head support designed for users with limited head control and more complex positioning needs. Its extended lateral shape provides greater support around the sides and back of the head, helping maintain a supported midline position during movement and rest.

The support extends through the suboccipital area and forwards along the sides of the head, helping contain and guide the head as the user rotates or changes visual attention. Integrated ear cut-outs improve comfort when the head rests at different positions against the support.

Designed for comfort and pressure management, the head support combines an internal aluminium shell with moulded polyurethane foam and a soft memory foam overlay. A dual-layer removable cover helps reduce friction and shear while supporting easier cleaning and everyday hygiene.
