The Spex Standard Lateral Head Support is a one-piece wheelchair head support designed for users with moderate head positioning needs. Its contoured shape provides posterior and lateral support to help maintain a supported midline head position during movement and rest.

Built-in occipital and suboccipital shaping follows the natural contours of the head, helping provide stability while still allowing the user to rotate their head and shift visual attention. Integrated ear cut-outs improve comfort when the head rests in different positions against the support.

The support combines an internal aluminium shell with moulded polyurethane foam and a soft memory foam overlay for comfort and pressure reduction. A removable dual-layer cover helps reduce friction and shear and can be removed for washing. The Standard Lateral Head Support is available in paediatric and adult sizes.
