The Spex Classic T Shape Back Support is a configurable wheelchair back support designed to provide enhanced upper back, shoulder and torso support. It is suited to users who require postural control, spinal alignment, pressure distribution or support for asymmetrical positioning.
The T Shape design uses the Spex Contouring Cube System, allowing clinicians to shape the back support surface to match the user’s individual torso profile. Cubes can be added, removed or rearranged on the spot to support comfort, immersion and postural stability.
Compared with the standard rectangular Spex Classic Back Support, the T Shape provides additional contact and support through the upper back and shoulders. This can be particularly useful for users in tilt-in-space wheelchairs, where the shoulders and upper body have greater contact with the back support surface.
