Spex Hip Flexion Contour Universal Positioning Base

The Spex Hip Flexion Contour Universal Positioning Base is an under-cushion positioning system designed to improve pelvic and lower-limb positioning beneath air or gel pressure care cushions. It allows clinicians to add targeted postural support without replacing the pressure care cushion above.

Designed for users with limited hip flexion, the Hip Flexion Contour base creates a gentle downward ramp at the front of the cushion. Contouring pads can be added to fine-tune the angle or accommodate asymmetrical hip flexion by providing additional support beneath one thigh.

A pre-ischial ledge helps support the pelvis and reduce forward sliding, while the modular Velcro-sensitive components can be repositioned as the user’s needs change. The high-density foam components can also be trimmed where required for individual fitting.
