The Geo-Matrix™ Split cushion is often used to provide comfort for users who require gentle positioning and contouring with excellent pressure redistribution and vibration control.
The Split cushion features an 8” split directly through the centre of the pommel.
This allows wedges to be inserted under one or even both sides of the cushion’s leg trough region to accommodate the desired hip angle required for each individual user.
A “fit kit” of various wedges can be added to compliment the Split cushion. Each wedge secures to the base of the cushion using Velcro.
These wedges can be added or removed as needed for on-the-spot customization. This also allows for modifications to be easily made to the cushion if the user’s condition should change.
The Geo-Matrix™ Split is indicated for users at moderate to high risk of skin breakdown, as well as for treatment of pressure injuries.
To further the Split’s custom feel and protection there are different insert options that may be added underneath the high risk coccyx section.
These inserts are: Gel infused memory foam Geo-Matrix Pillow top
